For PSN multiplayer games, totally recommend:
1. Hard Corps Uprising - A Contra game made by the Guilty Gear people more or less, surprisingly good and has a level up system mode too. 2 player online coop, netcode is really, really smooth.
2. Spelunker HD - Old school really hard kind of platformer. You will die, a lot, and there's over 100 levels in single player, multiplayer coop versions of them, multiplayer races, and multiplayer itself can be up to 6 people. Ridiculously hectic since you all share lives, trigger traps, and item drops (though they respawn, still makes for fun competition when you desperately need air).
