Actually, the definition of a drug is that it has to be synthetic. Anything natural is classified as a poison or a venom. So at worst, weed is a poison.
I just posted the top definition from google/mirriam webster. So, while I'm sure it's defined different ways, you can't really say the definition I said isn't valid, and marijuana is indeed a drug. Not that that's a bad thing.

An English dictionary and a medical dictionary are often contradictory, believe it or not. Drug/poison/venom all being weird is one example, but the example anyone would know is how medicine sticks an O in between words to connect them. Enterogastroduedenoscopy, blah blah blah.
I know the difference between poisonous and venomous in animals, but what's the medical difference between poison and venom? Just the source or something more complex?
I want to say venom is comprised more of bacterial factors and poison is chemical factors but I don't know D:
