So in your opinion, "good writing" is shoehorning a character into the game for literally no reason other than to establish that they're not a different character who is not demonstrated in the game itself to BE that character and was only briefly considered as such during the early stages of development? you are coming dangerously close to realizing that a lot of criticism leveled at chrono cross' plot is that people want to see all their 16 bit best friends from chrono trigger in another game (where nothing bad ever happens to them because anything less than a perfect happy ending is "shitting all over it") --- I pray god will curse the writer, as the writer has cursed the world with this beautiful, stupendous creation, terrible in its simplicity, irresistible in truth ...
