To people scoffing, there are people called "shoppers" where someone with a lot of suss cash (usually dealers etc) does up a list of food or goods (expensive meat included) that they want, and they pay these shoppers in drugs or cash at a massive markdown to steal this stuff. People loading up trolleys and just bolting through the door is common here because not every lil shop can have the security to stop or prevent it.

Fuck if I know why they don't just buy it with the money, paranoia maybe.
