You know TC.... this reminds me.... of a guy I've known for years, since university. We were pretty good friends and still are. Our group mostly had males in them but I also knew other groups at uni with girls.

He has a boyfriend and I have a girlfriend. He recently had problems (Not sure what it was but sounded pretty down). I wanted to ask if it was boyfriend problems or problems with family, but never did because I thought it would be poking too much into his business.

Then as we're talking on VR Chat as usual he starts asking me to come out and watch movies. Fair enough, I love watching re-runs of Die Hard with him, but never actually made plans for it in the end. Then one day out of the blue as we're talking he's like, "Hey Kris, you want to go Easter Island for a few days?". I was thinking, oh he wants to go out with a few of us. Told him I'll think about it when I'm free and we can make plans. And then he's like, "yeah, its been a while going out, just the two of us", "Im sick of this place and everyone", "it'll be nice seeing you" ect ect.

This threw me off guard? I mean if I was his boyfriend this would set off alarm bells? His guy is going out with some guy he's never met for a few days in literally another country. Not to mention, I have a girlfriend too and she would NOT be happy about me going out with just one guy. Of course, I didn't tell my girlfriend about this, but I also said to the guy "I'll think about it, we can do something" just to kinda blow it off and maybe just go to a movie or something.

Keep in mind, we've been purely close friends for years.
