What am I incorrect about exactly? As I said, US median 1988 housing cost was $210k adjusted for inflation. At the time it was about $85-90k without so I dont know where youre pulling 20-30k.

I agree that the cost of housing has gone up. But its closer to double than 11 times. I still think housing being twice as more expensive now is still a very significant increase. The market demands a two income household so a single parent buying a house is extremely difficult today.

You're doing it wrong. He's only interested in his own anecdotal evidence that supports his weird position. He doesn't care about actual numbers, links and how real estate actually works.
