Because it makes his point irrelevant. I don't think it's egregious that someone just starting their life with no education and an entry level job can't afford prime real estate. Location matters.
It is completely doable for that same 23 yr old single mother to get a nice house $0 down in a rural area as a starter home. Keep it 5-10 years and sell, use the profits to move closer to where you want to be and hopefully you have a better job or degree within that 5-10 yrs.

TC wants to throw on a rainbow wig and floppy shoes and act like it's impossible because, again, he's a fucking noob when it comes to real estate.
