And thus, the Me262 was heavily delayed, during a time when Germany desperately needed interceptors for the waves of Allied Bombers coming their way. And not another dive bomber.

Hitler's "wonder weapons" were pointless.
The jet fighter would have been nice but they had no oil reserves to keep them running. In fact, them toppling Europe so quickly and going into Russia, overstretched their supply lines so far that their Blitzkrieg became unsustainable especially with Soviets going full scorched earth.
