He seems the epitome of "left wing hippy" who believes any and all conspiracy theories and resists anything and everything to do with the government - voting included.

I could well be wrong as not really kept up with him in forever, but the little I've seen of him points to him being this (along with not being a terribly good person in his past relationships)

you're not american enough to understand
to the average internet american, if someone disagrees with them on anything, it means they're on "the other side" of the political spectrum (and there's only 2 sides for some reason)
