I use it to ppur in my toilet so it kind of cleans itself lol Pop some dishwash liquid in the bit at the top (the part you piss in if you don't like the toilet's owner) from time to time. Much less harsh on the plumbing, achieves a very similar result. Might need a manual scrub at first to get it clean, but this works well to keep it clean. --- I contend that we are both atrumblists.
