The problem is not ilca, ilca could produce games with higher quality than bdsp if they wanted too but i'm pretty sure pokemon company or gf has iron grip to the development of the remake. The faithful remake bullshit was probaly pc and gf idea to stiffle creativity and new ideas that ilca has for the remake. i think game freak just didn't trust ilca to take any creative risks since ilca isn't a proven developer. and game freak didn't have the time to help out much other than sending masuda to oversee. so they said "just make a copy of dp" and left it at that is my guess. ...
