Not every game needs to be some ultra ambitious blockbuster. Sometimes it's fine to just play a dumb game where you kill zombies and progress through a bunch of checklists. Another factor is that a bunch of people reviewing it also are playing Horizon Forbidden West at the same time. Which is an open world game that ticks more boxes for critics compared to something like DL2. Also I'm listening to some feedback about it and it sounds ridiculously buggy.
