BUT being over-leveled in this game means a lot less than in other games. My Pokmon are KOd a lot in this game, something that very rarely happens in recent Pokmon games. The game handles damage calculations differently. For example, I was using a level 40 Machoke and an agile style bullet punch did not KO a level 4 Bidoof. Likewise Pokmon under your level hit a lot harder than they used to. Abilities would have made this game more tedious, imo, considering all the Intimidate Pokmon that are in the wild (shinx, staravia, etc).
