Giving up your posessions and yielding to criminal demands is no guarantee that you'll be safe from injury, or that they'll even spare your life. Also it rewards them and validates the criminal's behavior. However your life is worth more than almost any worldly posession. Anyone who is willing to threaten and kill over these things is morally bankrupt and if they catch you in a compromised situation and are armed with a gun it's probably best to yield and convincingly stall while searching for a good opportunity to turn the tables, but even then you can't do that for long, because it'll likely anger them and increase the chances of them taking it out on you. Damn shame this poor woman got robbed of her posessions and her life by no good thugs.
