Basically everything about it was custom (as are our wedding bands). Total cost of her engagement ring was $13,100. I just figured it'd be much easier for her to just pick out what she wanted instead of ultimately just guessing. Worked out well and she loves it. Do you have to buy two rings or is the engagement ring dual purpose? I could see dropping a pretty good amount on one ring, but if I have to get two then one is going to be cheap as hell.Engagement ring is the one you get for the proposal, but then you ultimately need to buy 2 additional rings - the wedding bands for him and her that you will don at the wedding.
