Corporate lawyers are necessary to the extent that they protect a corporation from legal scrutiny and from being screwed over by another business with their own team of lawyers.

But their necessity is self-fulfilling and they're not needed to keep society functioning. In fact, in many cases, their sole job is to find exploitable loopholes to prevent companies from being otherwise held accountable for unethical practices.

You know a legal team is there to make sure the company follows the law and rule and regulations right

They're not there just to fend off lawsuits and sue-happy Americans
