So for the answer to the riddle, you should look at all the details and clues. The answer is actually MUCH simpler than many people assumed. The key is in the wording of the assistant!
The assistant tells you to find a planet at 12pm. The fact that its now 11am gives you one hour. The umbrella implies its raining. So youre SOL right??? WRONG!
Florida is notorious for quickly changing weather. One minute it can be raining and the next it can be clearing up for sunshine. Its very possible to see multiple planets during the day, including Venus and Mars. And a telescope would make them even more visible!
But what if the rain doesnt stop before 12pm? Notice the assistant did not specify today at 12pm :). You technically can search any day until you find a planet at 12pm. And you are guaranteed to win the bet as long as you dont give up!

Regarding the brain clinic, it would have to be someone who believably has a million dollars to give away, so a brain surgeon would have this much money.
