Late to the party, but the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard stomps the fuck out of this ruling. Or would in a just world.

Which in short, gave OSHA the power to regulate businesses to establish prevention of transmission of illnesses that could be transmitted by exposure to blood.

And that's with any place where workers would could be reasonably likely to find the presence of blood, including healthcare, food service, janitorial work, as well as for anyone who is trained in administering first aid in ANY occupational setting.

There's absolutely precedence for regulating for transmissible illnesses as a matter of health of a workforce.

And COVID is a pretty fucking transmissible illness.

The standard was honestly super tame, too. I don't know if anyone has reminded the topic of the details, but it's basically establishing vaccination tracking and testing tracking and offering for people who don't want to or can't vaccinate.

I could set you up with all of that in a day in my line of work.
