i can see how it would appeal to fans who wanted a better representation of raccoon city and the beginnings of the characters involved but all in all it's just a really badly made movie.
some pros are the faithful sets representing the games(seems like most of the budget was spent on this) and some cool effects(only some).
the worst part of the movie is that in order to condense the story of the first 3* games into a "not long" movie, it basically felt like they took snapshots of some of the story beats and best moments of the games and created scenes around them in a linear matter. also, you'll be reminded of just how linear with an on-screen clock when the movie switches perspective to another character/setting every 10 minutes.
you'll either hate or "be ok" with how the characters are portrayed especially leon.
