I was lucky to be student loan free and had some capital available. After around a year of trying to find work, I seriously considered obtaining a CDL and going the owner-operator route. The economy did recover enough for me to put my degrees to work though so I did not go through with it. Do you plan on going owner operator or as a driver employed by the big carriers? @furb I will never be an owner operator, too much headache, and trucking is a very cutthroat business, Im going to be a local driver, hopefully for a small to medium sized company --- Shoe Salesman.
