I've only ever hit one animal driving up a fairly steep section of road with some bushes off to the right on a hill. This was in the middle of the day, I'm going 30 on a 25 and this young-ish deer suddenly comes through the bush and jumps off the hill right into my lane. I swerve left to avoid it because I know that no one is coming towards me, and I just hit the sonofabitch with my passenger side headlight.

I was pissed because I now had to replace the light(there was no other damage and this was an old vehicle anyway) but I guess it must have been a harder hit then I thought because the next morning I noticed the deer dead in the same spot I hit it.

All I could think was "Well, shit. That's what you get for jumping into the road, dummie."
