Topic | Was Jak & Daxter any good? |
Thompson 01/09/22 9:32:33 AM #11: | Jak & Daxter is one of the finest paltformers of its time. Jak II jumped on the GTA bandwagon and turned him into a typical angsty anti-hero that was all the rage back then, is considerably more difficult, the city is essentially a circular maze instead of a true free-roam enviroment, and... well, it's actually a decent game, all things considered. Jak 3 is not as difficult, the free-roam areas are more freeroamy, Jak is not as brooding any more, and unlike the rest of the series, the soundtrack is pretty memorable. Then there was Jak 4. Er, no Jak... Racer? Hold on... Jak X? What an incongruous name. It's a kart racer with rubber band AI and weapon pick ups, where even Jak's friends and allies will blast him into pieces because that's how the game's AI is programmed to be like. Also, it has Ratchet as an unlockable character, and that was awesome! The PSP spin offs, though. Daxter was perfectly fine. The other one, I don't know the name of, I heard it was mediocre. --- Sigs are rather pointless, except if it's to showcase animation and images. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
