Smaug: Just add a captured damsel in distress to his mountain home, and Smaug ticks every box for dragon stereotypes. Hell, I'm pretty sure he started some of them himself. The main antagonist of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and all its adaptations, Smaug is arguably one of if not the most famous dragons in fantasy. Malicious, greedy, powerful and cruel, Smaug is also capable of trying to break you with mind games. Or he'll just eat you.

Deathwing, the Destroyer: Formerly one of the five Dragon Aspects, powerful dragons put in charge of protecting the planet Azeroth and the five parts of its being, Neltharion the Earth-Warder was eventually corrupted and driven mad by the Old God N'Zoth, eventually abandoning his title of Aspect of Earth in favor of being the Aspect of Death. Though he was defeated by the other four Aspects and their allies, he was not killed, and later returned after the defeat of the Lich King in WoW's third expansion, Cataclysm. Since, to many fans of the game, Cataclysm signaled the beginning of the end for WoW, it can be argued that Deathwing did eventually succeed in destroying the World... of Warcraft.

Though he was given a protagonist role in one piece of media, in all other appearances, Ol' KG is a villain to the core. Whether it's on his own, as someone else's pawn, or as a corrupting influence, King Ghidorah is always willing to fuck shit up. Especially if Godzilla is involved. All three heads share a hate-boner for that guy.

Falkor: That is a Luck Dragon. A 43-foot long flying dog with scales is what passes for a dragon in Fantasia, apparently. He doesn't breath fire or hoard valuables, but he'll be your friend and carry you around, so he has that going for him. Falkor was instrumental in saving the world of Fantasia from being devoured by The Nothing, the destructive manifestation of mankind's neglect and forgotten hopes. He's positive and loyal, and he won't sink in a depressing swamp like some dumb horse.

Shenron: Though there have been at least four wish-granting dragons introduced over the entire course of the Dragonball storyline, Shenron was the first, and remains the most often seen. Acting as a neutral third party in every appearance, Shenron will grant the wish (and later, wishes) of whoever gathers the seven Dragonballs and invokes his summoning, regardless of their intentions. The only limits being Shenron's power and his patience. He's usually polite, but is easily annoyed. Fun fact: The first wish he was ever show
