That doesn't make it make any more sense to generalize everyone who didn't have the same experience as you in high school. There's a lot of grey area between what he said and what you just said. As a storyteller, you'd think he'd have a much more insightful view of the world. Not just 2 boxes to place people who were popular with a decent life and people who weren't popular with a less fun life. That's the level of thinking I've cake to expect here. But this dude made a life that involves writing other people's perspectives. I don't know what his books are like tho.
