I honestly thought the way the tournament was wrapping up, that this was going to be the final season. Then they used the final 10 minutes of the last episode to setup another season of plotlines. I loved it.
Also, two things that had me absolutely dying during this season:
1) Them going to the drive-in and watching Bloodsport in episode 4.
2) This exchange between Daniel & Miguel about college:
Daniel: I didnt go to college. I spent all my money on a trip to Okinawa. Miguel: That had to cost thousands! Daniel: It cost even more because it was a same day purchase. But I made it all back and then some from an ice breaking wager. I came back with more money than when I left. Miguel: So did you use that money to go to college? Daniel: No, I used it to start a bonsai tree shop. Horrible idea.
I just love how they use everything and anything from the movies and put it to some type of use in the show. Something like the 1985 sudden death final point was just thrown in as a comment by the tournament announcer, and if you didnt remember it from Karate Kid 3, it would just seem like a throw away line.
