Oney mostly talks about stuff that a 12 year old wouldn't understand. He and his friends often discuss stuff from the perspective of someone who was born in the 90s.

Anyway I'm 40, 10 years older than them. And I am obsessed with oneyplays. If you think 12 year olfs watch him, I think you don't really know much about oneyplays.
Dude, their whole brand is designed to appeal to kids. The silly voices, the edgy jokes, the highly marketable cartoon avatars of themselves, the sense of parasocial friendship they harvest in their audience. Who cares if they make old pop culture references? So did Johnny Bravo and Courage the Cowardly Dog.

Every prominent let's player has an audience if mostly children. Game Grumps, Markplier, Jacksepticeye, Pewdiepie, etc. You think Oney's the single exception?

They joke often that their audience is autistic. Not young
You know who would find that joke funny? Children.
