Nah, I'd agree with you there, both in terms of how younger people often view the music I like, and in terms of how I view music that even older people tend to like. Styles change over time; people tend to like things at least similar to what they grew up with. It's almost expected tbh that people won't like most of what the last generation did; though there's always those that were ahead of their time, or just so damn good they transcend this.
