Someone that experiences a traumatic event was coined shellshocked. A two syllable impactful word, short and sweet that has more meaning to it than the jumbled mess of words post traumatic stress disorder. This has always been a dumb point since medical terms aren't about being "short and sweet" and sounding cool, and post traumatic stress disorder is a hell of a lot more accurate, especially given that today very few people who have PTSD have it for reasons related to what the term shellshock references. --- Meow! ...
