The sentence is bullshit, the company should be held accountable as well, but don't claim the driver didn't fail to do part of his job. Especially when some states, Maryland be the first to come to mind, include the pre-trip inspection on the CDL test.


YEah, look up the Ghimli Glider incident. Captain didn't properly verify fuel load, ran out of fuel, and despite performing a landing that was impossible for everyone that did it in simulation, was fired for his fuck up.
