Obviously they are the housing structures most susceptible to tornado damage, and a trailer park getting plastered by one makes for great media coverage. So media overexposure in the 80's and 90's led to the running joke-turned-myth that tornadoes seek out trailer parks like a lion seeks out a wounded gazelle. But it's just as possible for a tornado to rip through a downtown metro area as it is to rip through a trailer park; it's all a game of odds, and the only odds metros have in their favor is that they take up less surface area than sprawling suburbs / residential areas. Here's a famous photo of a tornado overtop the Texas state capitol in Austin: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/3/4/0/AARIckAACupM.jpg --- Simple questions deserve long-winded answers that no one will bother to read. https://imgur.com/eW67nT8 - Artwork by Wii_Shaker ...
