In case you weren't joking, trailer parks don't actually attract tornadoes. Obviously they are the housing structures most susceptible to tornado damage, and a trailer park getting plastered by one makes for great media coverage. So media overexposure in the 80's and 90's led to the running joke-turned-myth that tornadoes seek out trailer parks like a lion seeks out a wounded gazelle.

But it's just as possible for a tornado to rip through a downtown metro area as it is to rip through a trailer park; it's all a game of odds, and the only odds metros have in their favor is that they take up less surface area than sprawling suburbs / residential areas.
