Tell me you've never read a comic book without telling me you've never read a comic book. Dude, he literally called himself Goblin King and had a whole schtick with medieval themes with his minions. Doc Ock is definitely not like his comic book counter-part. Octavius was never a nice guy turned bad. He was the antithesis of Peter and cocky and up his own ass.
