It's a weird game, because you might think that they cranked up the anime shit to appeal to the masses, when in reality it's just because Tetsuya Takahashi loves cringe anime shit.

It's a shame because the world of the game is beautiful, the music is incredible, the gameplay is excellent once you get the hang of the combat, the story is decent (and deals with many of the same themes as previous Xeno- games), and a lot of the character designs outside of Rex/Pyra/Mythra really aren't bad.
