for me, it's more like, I'll refer to anyone by what they want me to, and I recognize some classifications are going to be more popular than others, and others are going to be more controversial.

I just don't like it when people act as if just because something is used by a minority, we should dismiss it, when groups of people have historically been dismissed/silenced.

I could understand that, but it's just like...a made up word. It isn't a classification of a group of people, it's just a made up word used to take the place of another word that already exists(Latin, Latino, Latina).
