Democrats don't often have the same blind loyalty which so many Republicans do.
If a Republican is a scumbag or a poor president, most Republican voters defend them because they're "defending America against socialism" or because they're charismatic figureheads whom they agree with.
Democratic voters typically don't have the same "Bill Clinton is a philanderer, but he's our philanderer" attitude. It's more "When Clinton lied, nobody died." Trump had a great number of haters (and rightly so). He just also had a greater number of defenders -- and bootlickers.
I can't say that Biden has done a great job or reestablished my faith in America. All I can say is that he's better than Trump. And if you left a Jack-in-the-Box in the Oval Office for four years, that too would be preferable to Trump.
He's served his purpose in sparing us from another four years of Trump. But I honestly don't feel any sense of loyalty or gratitude toward him. He's not a good president on the whole. And I haven't forgotten what a lapdog he was to the Taliban during the pullout of Afghanistan. Trump fucked Biden (and America) by surrendering and scheduling the pullout date for when Biden was in office. But Biden didn't have to be so spineless about it.
I sincerely hope that he doesn't run again. Or, if he does, he steps down shortly after being reelected. And, no, that does not make me a conservative.
Problem is, he is basically the only person that can run again and win against Trump. Really can't see who else can pull in enough voters to actually win against the insanity of the trump base.
Really hope Trump gets arrested before 2024, but then we may get Deathsantis....
