If they're going to do it then they're going to do it.
I'll steal from your next post. Bullshit. I just mentioned the statistics on it. Red flags for suicidal people that result in gun confiscation = fewer suicides. Period. There's no arguing this on your part. No one cares if the facts conflict with your feelings on this topic.
But by all means continue to stare reality in the face screaming "NUH UHHH"

There's no reason to include this than some self righteous "suicide is a sin" or other similar bullshit.

I guarantee you that I know more about the topic of suicide and assisted suicide than 90% of the people on this board considering multiple people in family have both successfully and unsuccessfully done both, and I am including myself in that number.

I support suicide in that I don't believe it should be penalized and I support physician assisted suicides in that I believe there should be a supportive and accessible process for people to go through.

That does NOT mean that society shouldn't have systems in place to prevent impulsive, circumstantially-motivated suicide attempts where possible. Suicide red flag laws have been PROVEN to work, and no, you don't have to be a theocratic finger-wagging dipshit to admit reality, and you don't have to shit on suicidal people in order to justify putting prevention systems in place.

You don't know jack shit about this topic or about me. Fuck off.

What's poorly written about this?
Seems pretty clear the founders of this country wanted everyone to have a gun without restrictions. No other interpretations are possible.

I didn't say it was unclear. I said it was poorly written. The original version of the 2nd amendment was better. I'm pretty sure the 2nd amendment concept was taken from documents of some of the colonies/states at the time.
For example:
Constitution of Virginia
Article I. Bill of Rights
Section 13. Militia; standing armies; military subordinate to civil power
That a well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state, therefore, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that in all cases the military should be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.

Yeah, that. That's just flat-out better-written than the 2nd amendment of the US Constitution.
