You have to learn not to get caught." Just some context for that text because when I first read it I thought that was the moms reaction to the shooting. That text was sent the day before the shooting when Ethan was caught looking up ammo on his phone during class. The parents are partially to blame though. Just hours before the shooting, he was caught with a disturbing drawing (involving guns and blood) and the parents were called to the school to have an in person meeting with the parents, teacher, and Ethan.
