I still don't understand the love for Maul's story post-return. Pre-return sucked too. But when he comes back he just keeps losing over and over. TCW will build him up as a threat with a three episode arc only for Obi Wan Kenobi to show up in the last ten minutes, easily chop his arm off or something and dismantle his entire plan, then skip away. He added nothing to any overall plot and didn't serve development for any other character. He started to get good in Rebels as temptation for Ezra for like, three episodes. Then Ezra says no to him and he's back to milling about having no effect on anything.
