That was my initial thought too, but they've upped the idiocy and stubbornness by a factor of 10 since Covid. This could be where they say "lol fuck it" until the Dems roll over completely and give them whatever they want (which is usually how it goes but with some wins). I can see them holding out indefinitely and blaming Dems and the "covid hoax" and leveraging exactly what someone else said "plus it's Christmas!
