Imagine if in the early 1900s, not only did every American have professional-grade radio equipment, but the means of making national broadcasts to anyone. Imagine if in the mid-20th century every American had access to studio-quality television/cable equipment and had the means of making national broadcasts to anyone. The issue is technology and how misinformation and hatred are able to freely reach people in a more quick, effective manner than actual news.
