You mean Path of Stars? That's the roguelite mode I talked about a while ago (called APUS in the last event). I just finished the first map myself.

To answer your question, support points can buy power-ups but are mainly used to buy support characters, which can be used to complete a fight without using up your 8 daily attempts (i.e. free stage clear). The catch is that the three you use disappear after the fight, so deploy them when you really need them.

The good thing is that this mode is 100% optional and I don't see any black card rewards. You can get 6* memory shards from some missions and a lot of materials. Think of it like Ceobe's Fungimist but you actually get stuff from it.
