"Concerned Community Members Shutdown Prior Lake-Savage School Board Meeting after a girl used the N word and encouraged a 14 year old Black student to kill herself in a viral video. Community members, parents and former students said the boards lack of action demonstrates tolerance for racism and violent behavior. All but one board member walked out. Eventually they came back to announce they'll be consulting with an attorney. In a statement read by Prior Lake-Savage Superintendent Teri Staloch at the beginning of the meeting we were informed that the student who used the N word in the video is no longer enrolled in the Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools and that police are still continuing their investigation. I asked Kristi Mussman the Director of Communications if any of the school board members would like to make a statement and she said not at this time."
