I read the first book ages ago, but didn't remember anything besides a swordsman helping Rand flee the first town. Totally forgot about the witch, Rand's buddies, etc. haha. Could've sworn that they were chased by a flying monster instead of dudes just running at them, but maybe my brain's playing tricks on me.
