It's entirely possible for both people to be in the wrong, and that's the case here. This Karen said she "hadn't gotten her coffee back" which leads me to think that she complained that it was too hot, and then she asked for Timbits hoping she'd receive some for no charge. Why else would she have added it to her order at that point? The teenager deserved to lose her job and should be charged with assault.
