Witold Pilecki went under cover as a prisoner to the Nazi death camps twice. Dude literally busted out delivered a report of what the Nazis were doing to the allies, they refused to believe him, and he fucking went and got captured again to go undercover and get more evidence for a second round of reports, busted out, AGAIN, after fighting in Warsaw, to deliver the info to the allies, which they believed this time, after fighting to defeat the nazis he returned to a Poland whose government had been taken over by the soviets, Witold, anticipating what would become of him, (he had fought a war against the soviets before WWII) got in contact with the exiled government, and again went into hiding to reconnoiter this threat to Poland.

The polish communist secret police caught him 2 years later, tortured him, 'tried' him for treason and espionage, and executed him. The very people he fought to free from the Nazis.

Of entering Auschwitz he had this to say in recollection:

I bade farewell to everything I had hitherto known on this earth and entered something seemingly no longer of it.

Of the soviets:

'Compared to this, Auschwitz was nothing' was said to be scrawled on the walls of his cell.

I'd say fuck off to both, and trying to compare which one is worse is a pointless effort.
