How would that solve anything anyway? What if they were not aware they were the other partner on the side? Would you still bring them pain while letting the real villain (your partner) off the hook...?

The cheater is the real culprit. If you're going to deliver vengeance, that's where it goes. And there's hundreds of effective ways to do it within the law and without violence. But you're not going to bother with finesse when you're too focused on beating up someone else who might not have been aware they were getting used just the same. Cheaters are often habitual liars, liars manipulate for gain, the nave are their prey.

Sometimes the "homewrecker" is not the actual culprit, but another victim.
