Got a little long in the tooth right at the end - like, the very very end - and had a little trouble with inconsistent writing throughout, but for a 20-year-old RPG I was impressed by how sophisticated it was as a total package. There was a charm here that made the game feel like a bit more than the sum of its parts, and even most of those parts were pretty good. Great battle system, likable cast, sneaky good soundtrack.
