this is only fine when there is a sufficient social safety net that it's the businesses that die, and not the people

because otherwise it becomes a waiting game, and only one side can secure a loan to keep the lights on

minimum wage has been government's attempt to say "how about we pre-emptively determine the outcome of that and nobody dies?"

but yeah i'm fine with casualties so long as they're concentrated all on the side of employers
