People talk about Republicans as if half the country supports them (including myself sometimes, i admit) when in reality half the population isn't voting. It makes me a little sad when I hear stories about places getting 62% or 71% turnouts and going "Look at the huge record high turn out!" because they're usually like 44%. Australians laugh at us. If you just have activists complaining then the people in power will always be elected by assholes. You need to vote and get involved in politics. I mean look at Belfast South in 2015. Dude who won the election only got 24% of the vote. And only 60% of the population voted.
