Saw some of the convo about cat walking and harnesses. I will say, you know your cat. I definitely couldnt trust bailey because everything scares her, and the dust balls knocking around between her ears would probably incline her to jump in front of a car

I actually have also seen successful free flight training with birds, and while that level of bond and trust is truly awe-inspiring, I dont think I could ever be comfortable enough to attempt it. Way too risky, but I definitely acknowledge the patience and effort in developing that kind of bond.

i always thought having a bird you could let out and trust to return would be the coolest thing ever. Or being one of those cops in countries that have that anti drone squad and they have police eagles that kill the drones.

walter is scared to death of cars. Anytime Ive had to drive him somewhere I feel like shit. But the upside is he runs as far from any car he hears or sees as possible. Thats why I cant have him off harness if there might be cars though because Ive spent a half hour trying to coax him out of hiding i in someones yard when a car scared him.

if the people came out or saw me Id have looked like a crackhead. Half drunk at 11pm talking to their bush... it was awkward.

otherwise only owls scare him and he just climbs me if he hears an owl so thats fine. Hes met a thousand dogs and got along with all of them... except the ones he beat up. Lol.
