Topic	What happened to Samus during Metroid Fusion? (Spoilers)

I admit I only kind of know what dark samus is and was wondering if that is the clone you guys are talking about. Samus has actually had two evil versions of her running around at different points. The first is Dark Samus. The Metroid Prime trilogy mostly revolves around phazon, a toxic and mutagenic substance. The final boss of the first game was the titular Metroid Prime, a metroid heavily mutated by phazon. Earlier in the game, Samus' suit absorbed enough phazon that it itself "mutated" into a so-called Phazon Suit which rendered her immune to all but the purest, most toxic forms of phazon. When she defeated Metroid Prime, it latched onto her suit and leeched the phazon out of it. Seemingly dead, it instead incorporated the Phazon Suit into its own biology and became Dark Samus. The second is the SA-X. As I mentioned in an earlier post, the X-Parasites are a species that infects a host, kills it, and copies it. One of them latched onto Samus and copied her power suit. This nearly killed her, but the Federation saved her by infusing her with metroid DNA. This not only meant the parasites couldn't infect her, it allowed her to absorb some of the abilities they'd mimicked.
